Dowels

When stacking or tiering cakes, these dowels slide smoothly into the cakes, are clean, cut easily for custom sizing, and are inexpensive so you don't have to worry about getting anything back from the venue.

The small dowels, called CakeSafe Dowels are wonderful for cakes up to three tiers, are still very strong (much stronger than straws), and are easy to cut with scissors. They're also great for use as wire holders in your cakes and appliqué for sugar flowers.
