What is the Floating Acrylic Cake Base?

The Floating Acrylic Cake Base is a clear acrylic base that gives your cake a professional, finished look. It sits on 6 rubber feet in a transparent, light blue shade, lifting your cake just enough (.8 inch) that it seems to almost float above the display table — keeping the focus entirely on your cake, not the base underneath it.

Is this base compatible with CakeSafe boxes?

Yes. Every Floating Acrylic Cake Base has a hole in the middle so it works with The CakeSafe for transportation.

What shapes are available?

Three shapes: Round, Square, and Hexagon. Each base is sold singly.

What size base should I choose?

Customers typically choose a base that's 1 to 2 inches larger than their bottom tier. For example, if your bottom tier was baked in a 10 inch cake pan, you'd choose an 11 or 12 inch base.

Can I add a stand to raise my cake even higher?

Yes. The optional Cake Stand is a snap-together, 2.5 inch tall acrylic support that works with all of our existing Cake Bases as well as our newer Bases. It's made of 1/4 inch acrylic.
