Why no center hole matters: Many cardboard cake boards on the market come with a pre-made center hole. That's a problem when you're using the CakeSafe. The CakeSafe's stainless steel center rod needs to pierce through the cardboard itself to create a snug, secure fit. That tight grip is exactly what keeps your tiers locked in place during transport. A pre-made hole defeats the whole purpose. These rounds have no hole, so the rod does its job the way it's designed to.
Use them under every tier. Place a cardboard round under each cake tier before stacking. They're thin enough for the center rod to pass through cleanly, and they provide a firm, stable base for each layer.
Better grip, less sliding. Our cake rounds are not grease-resistant — and that's intentional. Grease-resistant coatings are slippery, which is the last thing you want under a stacked tier. These boards give you better friction and more stability right out of the box.
