The CakeSafe's stainless steel center rod works by piercing through the cardboard to create its own snug, tight-fitting hole. That friction is what locks your tiers in place during transport. A pre-made hole eliminates that grip entirely. These squares have no pre-drilled hole, so the rod does exactly what it's designed to do.
Built for square tiers. Place one square board under each tier before stacking. They're thin enough for the center rod to pass through cleanly and provide a firm, flat foundation for every layer — corners included.
Less sliding, more stability. These boards are intentionally not grease-resistant. That slick coating you find on most commercial cake boards? It's a sliding hazard under a stacked tier.
